Preventive conservation ensures the sculpture’s longevity and prevents the need for costly and time-consuming restoration. Especially for outdoor sculptures, much of the prevention efforts are focused on combating environmental pollutants, such as acid rain. As the AIC Code of Ethics states, the most effective means of promoting the long-term preservation of cultural property is through preventive conservation.

OnAim Conservation, LLC is an art conservation company located in Houston for small to large scale outdoor sculpture needs. Their conservation efforts help to develop and implement a customized program for the upkeep of public and private art collections. If necessary, they can assess damage and offer treatment needed to restore the artwork to its original state. They can also arrange and oversee the safe transportation and installation of outdoor works.

A certified woman-owned business, OnAim Conservation, LLC, is also a member of the American Institute of Conservation. For more information, please visit www.onaimconservation.com.

HAGA is a nonprofit organization composed of the finest art galleries in Houston, each with their own distinct programming, representing the most outstanding artists in Texas and around the world. Our vision is to promote Houston as a destination for the arts.
